Greetings from the College Girl

Dear Friends and Family,

Let’s see, where did we leave off…..Oh yeah, another rugby game this weekend. Again, we were beat, but it was a lot closer this time and we actually did pretty well. I think mainly its because our teem isn’t as physically fit as it should be (people didn’t keep up physical training over the summer) so we kind of burn out halfway through the game. Yeah, that was A side. B side, yes of course we lost, but again did a lot better than last game, we actually scored some! And we had a great time, and I didn’t get hurt. So, Praise the Lord all around.

I have take home midterm essay questions this week from my Comparative Studies class, and one of them I think some of you might be interested in reading (posted above). It is a comparison of Scientology, Buddhism, and Marxism in the form of a dialogue between several individuals, and it has a happy ending. (I actually haven’t edited it yet, so there might be a few typos).  Arabic midterms are next week, please be paying for me. I am working hard and think I’m doing ok, but I’m right on the edge. There is so much vocab to memorize, it is quite overwhelming.  Chinese is much more relaxed, we do not have midterms or finals (yeah!). I’ve already written the two big papers I will have to write (self introduction and city report). Now I just have to give them orally two more times each. My first written report I’ll hand in Monday. It is just my city report written in characters. It was actually a lot of fun to write down. I do that one three times two. The first two drafts, I will be graded, but given some leeway. The final draft, if it is not perfect, I’ll be in big trouble because my teacher will have already corrected it twice!

Thank you so much, all of you who bought candles from me. That was very much appreciated. You should receive them in a few weeks, before Thanksgiving at the latest. I didn’t sell the most candles of the group, I think I was about 4th out of 30. The person who sold the most got a free Ohio State Women’s Rugby jersey, so next time you all will have to buy more so I can get the jersey ;)> Just kidding, I love you all no matter how many candles you buy (though for some of those people who never e-mail me, that’s another matter, you’re case is still pending >:()

Oh that happy note, I hope you all have a wonderful week and don’t work too hard. All work no play makes grumpy, tired people who don’t like to take the time to e-mail me (hmm, did I say that out loud? They say repetition helps you learn).
Love you all 🙂
